BANTAM INDIAN GAME
Indian Dark, Jubilee and Blue Laced Indian Game Bantams should follow the Large Fowl standard including the scale of points.
These miniatures are well established but they are not recognized as Game birds in spite of their name, and although they may compete in classes specified for ‘hard feather’ they may not compete in classes listed for Game birds. Where no ‘hard feather’ or breed classes are scheduled, they must compete in the A.O.V. section. Jubilees are similar to the Indians except that where Indians are black, Jubilees are white. Both colours are frequently interbred. Indian, Jubilee and Blue Laced Indian Game Bantams should follow the Large Fowl Standard, including the scale of points.
Weights
The Indian Game Club does not issue definite weight standards for bantams and weights detailed below are suggestions only. These weights are often exceeded and excess size should be penalized.
Male 2.00kg (4 1/2 lbs) Female 1.50kg (3 1/3 lbs)
Originally, British Bantam Association weights were below these. No characteristic of the breed must be developed or exaggerated to such an extent that Indian Game cannot effectively reproduce themselves.
